Our Minister
Rev. Douglas Aikman Rev. Dave Pritchard

Dave Pritchard came to Grace United Church from St. Catharines.  He is married to Judith, a retired teacher and has three grown children, Bryan, Scott and Heather and three grandsons, Everett, Oliver and Sam.  Bryan lives in St Catharines, Ontario and Heather, Everett and
Sam in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Scott, his wife Sophie and Oliver live in New Jersey.

Dave likes to tell stories and in sermons makes connections between the Bible and the issues of everyday life.  He promises that Sunday worship will be lively, engaging and thoughtful.  There will be lots of praise, wonder and inspiration.  Children and young families will be welcome, and people of all ages will enjoy worshipping God at Grace.

Dave looks forward to helping Grace continue to grow as an inclusive, welcoming and attractive community for all ages.  He will be involved in caring for the congregation and also caring for the community of Niagara-on-the-Lake. He lives in town and he will enjoy meeting you on Sunday mornings, at church activities and around town.

Services

Our worship service begins at 10.30 am on Sunday mornings year round. The Children's Program takes place at the same time, from September to June. Communion is served several times a year as well as on special occasions. The dates of forthcoming Communions are shown on the Calendar of Events. Visitors are welcome at all services.

For details about the sacrament of baptism and for marriages and funerals, please contact the Church office at (905) 468-4044. Our church offers its facilities, minister and organist for Christian weddings for both members and non-members. We can accommodate weddings from very small events to as many as 150 guests.

There are special services on Christmas Eve and Good Friday.  On Christmas Eve our service begins at 7:00 PM.  Like all our services, it is, of course, open to the community and visitors and all are welcome to join in the re-telling of the Christmas story and to sing favorite Christmas carols.  Each year on Good Friday an ecumenical service is held in turn at one of the four churches located in the old town, St. Mark’s Anglican, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian, St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic and Grace United.  The service features the combined choirs from the four churches and all of the ministers participate.

Being an old downtown church in a heritage district means we only have on-street parking.  There are a few handicapped parking places available immediately in front of the church.  Cards are available inside the entrance to the church which can be placed on the dashboard in your car, identifying you as attending a church service and giving free parking to 12 noon on a Sunday.
